Background Information: George W. Bush mostly grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. His father, George Herbert Bush married Barbara Bush. In 1958 he entered the seventh grade at "San Jacinto High School." George as a younger son was nicknamed, "Georgie". George's brothers are, Neil, Jeb, and Marvin. His sisters are, Dorothy and Robin, (Robin died of leukemia at age three). His parents then moved the family to Odessa, Texas, and his father began work in the oil business. During the summer of 1977, George met Laura Welch in Midland at a dinner at the home of their mutual friends Joe and Jan O’Neill. They than decided on marriage about three months later, on November 5, 1977. In 1981 his two twin sisters, Barbara and Jenna, were born. His grandfather was the Vice-President of the United States at the time. Geroge and his family lived in Midland, later moved to Dallas, and then Washington for a year when George ran for President in 1988. In 1961 to 1964 Bush went to "Phillips Academy" in Andover, Mass., which was a boarding school that his father(George Herbert Walker) had graduated from. George W. Bush had become president of his faternity and went along as his father did and was attending at Yale. As May 1968 came along Bush had applied to get into the pilot trainee in the Texas Air National Guard. In June 1970, Bush became a certified fighter pilot. Bush for the first time was rejected from applying to the University of Texas law school. In the fall of 1973 he started at Harvard business school. George W. Career Overview: Bush was a founder and a chief executive officer in 1975 until 1983. He also put together the Texas Rangers Baseball Organization. He was one of the managing general partners of that organization. He had than become the president of the United States for nine years, 2001-2009. He was nominated for the Republican nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1978. George W. Bush was subject to his documentary, Faith in the White House. George attended flight school and flew F-102 aircraft with the 147th Fighter Wing, 111th Fighter Squadron of the Texas Air National Guard. He was than Campaigned for U.S. Congress in 1978 in a large West Texas district. He defeated two opponents in the Republican primary, but lost in the general election to Democrat Kent Hance. After the election he went back to the energy business and built his oil company.

My point of view: Why you personally chose this person?
~I chose George W. Bush because he was apart of the United States as a whole for a long time. I thought to look back in all his years of being president and really getting to research what it is like i thought would be interesting. It is very interesting to me on my research with now getting to know all of the bafkground information on George W. Bush and all of his accomplishments he has had and the awards he has been granted.

Global Influence: That this person has?
~George W. Bush has infulenced the world in a way but could have also done more alot differently. He is the one who sent our troops to Iraq and initiated the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. When the September 11 attack happened it was a surprise to everyone. Alot of people lost loved ones and some children were left without parents. It affected everybody in one way or another. It send hundreds of fire fighters from around the area and the debri was horrible.
