Dunham was born in Dallas Texas in 1962 as an only child. For Christmas when he was eight years old he received his first dummy and that’s when he first started ventriloquism. As a teenager he began performing for audiences. After graduating from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1986 he, moved to Los Angeles. There he met his wife Paige and had 3 daughters together Bree,Ashlyn, and Kenna.

July 18, 2003 is when Jeff Dunham hit his career off with a bang when he appeared on Comedy Central Presents for his first solo which was 30min showcased Walter, Peanut, Jose, and Melvin. After this Duham had his first Comedy Central Speacial, Jeff Duham: Arguing With Myself which was taped in Santa Anna, Califonia in 2006. HIs next big gig was Jeff Dunham: Spark Of Insanity which was taped in Washington, D.C. in 2007. And his last big success was near home, Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special which was taped here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Pabst Theater in 2008. The Christmas special's premiere was the highest rated telecast in Comedy Central history! Dunham also released a Christmas music album on November 4, 2008 called "Don't Come Home for Christmas". He has also released 2 book called "Dear Walter" and his Autobiogrphy called "All By My Selves". One of the things the Jeff Duham said suprised him during his career was when he did his european tour he couldn't believe how many people that were in these countries that spoke english as a second lanuage knew most of his lines by heart . He said that he was "dumdfonded" by how the internet reached all these people and that they already knew about him.

Peanut-a Woozle, which is a hyperactive furry animal...hybrid...thing.He has purple skin, white fur, green hair, big feet and wears only his left shoe. He is apparently from an island in Micronesia and stowed away on a cruise ship, where he met Dunham in "It's good it's good it's goooood!", "Neeeee-yow"
José
José Jalapeño on a Stick - He looks exactly what it sound like and he pronounces "on a stick" as "onna Steek." He's often paired up with Peanut for his bits
Melvin
Melvan-A wannabe superhero an extremely big nose. Has no actual powers to speak off, but he is really funny. "Duh-duh-duh-daaaaaah!"
Achmed
Achmed The Dead Terrorist-Lived his life as a suicide bomber and is now a skeleton with a turban, big bushy eyebrows, and a goatee. He plots to kill everyone but nothing ever happens hence why he’s dead. "SILENCE i kill you!"

Sweet Daddy D'-A pimp that declared himself Jeff's "agent." "Iich" a noise he makes by sucking his teeth hard to describe
