Troy Trevor Tulowitzki, professional shortstop for the Colorado Rockies, entered the sports scene nation wide early on in his his high school years. Attending Fremont High School which lies in Sunnyvale, California it seems that Troy has always had a nac for the sports scene. During high school his two main sports were basketball and baseball. His second sport, basketball, he averaged an incredible 22.6 points a game, was named to second team all state one time, was named team MVP 3 out of the 4 years he played, and league MVP. As if those sports accomplishments were not enough he excelled even more in baseball. In baseball he was named seocnd team all state twice. Remember that he was playing in the state of California, that has an incredible amount of kids and prestigious schools. In the year of 2002 he was awarded the honor of Fremont High athlete of the year. When he graduated from high school he went undrafted so he ended up attending Long Beach State University. At this school he was selected to the All-Big West conference team twice. Then in 2005 Troy's professional career had taken off. He was picked by the Colorado Rockies in the first round of the draft 7th pick overall. It wasn't soon after that he experienced his first major league game as well. In 2006 Troy got his first hit ever as a major league ball player. This hit was an infield single off of the New York Mets pitcher Oliver Perez. After an incredible rookie season Troy found himself in a race for the rookie of the year award. Although averaging great numbers he had finished second to Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers by just two votes. Troy's most remarkable accomplishment in my opinion did not come until midway through the 2007 season. He had turned just the 13 unassisted triple play ever recorded in MLB history which is very impressive if you understand anything about baseball.
